    Following the match in Jerusalem, as well as the absence of both Arkadiusz Głowacki and Marek Zieńczuk, everyone was full of anxiety in the lead up to the second match against Beitar. As it turns out, unnecessarily so - Wisła put on a spectacular show of five goals, scored by: Mauro Cantoro, Cleber, Paweł Brożek, Junior Diaz, and Andrzej Niedzielan. »

    Due to the lack of a final decision concerning which teams shall play in the Ekstraklasa, a decision was taken to cancel the first two league matches of the season. At this point it is unclear whether or not the season will commence on August 8th. »

    Wisła drew a 1:1 tie against FC Copenhagen in their third sparring match played while in Austria. If it weren't for a goal lost in the second minute of the match the White Star might have even won. »

    Wisła emerged victorious from their first encounter with Israeli football. The White Star, which will face the Israel champion in the Champions League qualifications, defeated another team from the same league - Hapoel Tel Aviv - 2:0. Let's hope this is a good omen in the lead up to the match against Beitar Jerusalem. »
