Wisła was the first to create a chance for a goal, but soon Legia lost two excellent opportunities after Manu and Komorowski both missed the final touch. On the other hand, Jirsak and Paweł Brożek showed a perfect performance. Jirsak raced away from the defenders on the right flank and delivered an excellent cross to the penalty area, and Paweł Brożek sent the ball into the back of the net.

Legia was determined to make up for the lost goal in the second half and made plenty of room for Wisła. Wisła was quick to take advantage. In the 50th minute, after exchanging passes with Brożek, Małecki defeated Machnowski with a flat shot from 16 meters. After losing the second goal, Legia was left stagnant. In addition, Wisła put up a brilliant defence and prevented any attacks from Legia.  In the meantime, Wisła scored another goal. Małecki showed a perfect sense of timing and passed the ball to Kirma running towards the box. Machnowski managed to distract Kirma, but Brożek hammered the ball in from 11 meters. The fourth goal in the 84th minute was the cherry on the top:  Małecki was running with the ball for the goal and his shot was tipped in by Cezary Wilk.
