It was the White Star that prevailed from the beginning of the game. In the 10th minute, Garguła skillfully took possession of the ball in the middle of the field, ran several meters, passed the ball left towards Melikson whose shot into the far corner gave Wisła the lead. Although over time Wisła’s performance became more and more impressive, they did not manage to score another goal.

In the first half, the Danish team managed to threaten the goal guarded by Pareiko only with distance shots. However, the best of these shots – by Gislason and Sorensen – went off-target. In the second half, Odense played with the wind that grew stronger. As a result, attempts by coach Clausen’s players were very difficult to save as the ball deviated from its path.

For the White Star, the second half meant less striking attacks. The most dangerous situation in front of the goal guarded by Topell was created by Garguła who was fouled in the penalty area. The foul was evident from the TV footage. However, the referee deemed Garguła to have been simulating the foul and showed him a yellow card. Wisła was unable to do more due to raving wind that slowed down every ball played forward.
