Mariusz Pawełek, who was replaced by Ilie Cebanu due to injury, was missing from the White Star’s team. The Moldavian goalie did not have too much work to do in the first half of the match. The hosts fully took over the initiative, even though they did not take the lead until the 24th minute of the game. Paweł Brożek received a pass from Patryk Małecki from the middle of the field and beat Rafał Kwapisz with a aimed shot from the left side of the penalty area.

The members of coach Dariusz Fornalak’s team were limited to breaking  up Wisła’s attacks. This was so until the 55th minute, when the guests unexpectedly evened up the score. One of the few opportunities was taken advantage of by Jakub Biskup, who used Sebastian Olszara's pass and scored a goal. After scoring a goal, Piast began to play more boldly, however the Wisła team aimed at making the winning goal, which they achieved 15 minutes before the end of the game. Marcelo changed Patryk Małecki’s pass from the corner kick into a goal. 

The Gliwice team can also regret that it was not more effective. If it took advantage of Ilie Cebanu’s error in the 60th minute, who didn’t kick the ball out far enough from his own penalty box, the match may have ended with a different score. However, Wisła managed to show its nerves of steel and it rightfully gained three points.
