From the first whistle, the Wisła fans expected nothing less than victory – Wisła scored two goals within just 8 minutes! In the 14th minute, Tomas Jirsak passed the ball in-between two Polonia defenders to Patryk Małecki. The ball got past Sebastian Przyrowski, Polonia’s goalkeeper, and landed in the goal. Jirsak made a cross in the 22nd minute, Sobolewski headed the ball to Paweł Brożek, who then headed the ball home.

Polonia failed to create any goal-scoring opportunity in the first half of the game; however, a consolation goal was scored in the 27th minute after Wisła’s howler. Łukasz Trałka passed two Wisła footballers on the right wing, and the ball deflected off Marcelo and Mariusz Pawełek, after which Wisła scored an own goal.

Wisła prevailed in the second half, had several excellent chances, but failed to finish them. It was even close to losing 2 points. In the 74th minute Junior Diaz lost the ball in the centre of the field and Adrian Mierzejewski fund himself in a one-to-one situation with Mariusz Pawełek, but Wisła's goalkeeper managed to make a save. In the very last minutes, Polonia Warszawa increased the pace of the game, hoping to win an equalizer, but Wisła ended the game with 3 new points.
