Data publikacji: 05-08-2011 11:26Wisła Kraków is bound to play in European Cup matches till December! In their return match of the third Champions League Qualification round, Robert Maaskant’s team won over Litex Lovech 3-1, with two goals scored by Maor Melikson and one scored by Cezary Wilk. They are now through to the group stages of the Europa League!

Tickets for the challenge with the Bulgarian league winner were selling like hot cakes and on Wednesday night, Wisła’s stadium was filled to capacity. The supporters were very active cheering on their team and discouraging their opponents from the first whistle. One of Wisła’s players that was unstoppable for the Bulgarians was Maor Melikson who scored two goals. He scored his first goal in the 42nd minute after an exchange of quick passes with Patryk Małecki. He scored again in the 56th minute after a penalty kick executed for being fouled in the penalty area.
In the second half, the team led by Luboslav Penev managed to score for 2-1 but they owed the goal to their good luck. After a free kick, the ball went through Wisła’s wall, hit Osman Chavez on his face and landed in front of Bodurov who put it into the net.
Several minutes later, Litex’s captain Neboysha Yelenkovich was booked with a red card for his foul on Nunez. In the 84th minute, Cezary Wilk, who had been introduced as a substitute for Patryk Małecki several minutes earlier, sealed the game with the third goal for Wisła.
