Although Wisła was a generally acknowledged favourite of the match, the goals were not shot until the 78. minute. Until that moment, Biała Gwiazda's inefficiency was striking - the Krakow footballers were unable to hit the goal even from a few metres' distance not to mention two one-on-one situations.
By the end of 78. minute he was defeated. After a quick counterattack, Rafał Boguski and Paweł Brożek reached the penalty field of FC Šiauliai. Boguski crossed to Paweł, who with one light and precise shot placed the ball in the goal. Two minutes later, the result was 2:0 in favour of the Kraków team. After Tomas Jirsak's corner kick, Piotr Brożek won the other goal.

It took time for Biała Gwiazda to defeat the Cup's debuting team, yet its victory 2:0 in Shavli was well deserved - they can now prepare for the rematch without sweating too much.
