Wisła created several excellent goal-scoring opportunities in the first half, but the ball missed the goal post each time it was heading towards the goal. The host team players were too hesitant to hammer the ball in, and Lechia defenders took their chance to interfere. Just before the break, Kapsa ejected the ball to the corner after a long shot by Małecki. Lechia was wasting one opportunity after another. 27 minutes after the first whistle, Wiśniewski got a ball in the penalty area, dribbled Diaz and missed the goal by inches.

Finally, Wisła footballers and the coach, Henryk Kasperczak, celebrated the first goal this year. Wisła was awarded a free kick in 65th minute, Patryk Małecki made a cross to Lechia’s penalty area, Paweł Brożek headed the ball and Marcelo scored.

Wisła was leading 1:0, but kept on pressing for another goal. Tomas Jirsak, who substituted Issa Ba in 62nd minute, made an excellent distant shot in 86th minute; the ball hit the post, fell on the ground, but crossed the goal line. The third goal for Wisła was scored 60 seconds later. Paweł Brożek passed the ball to Rafał Boguski from the right side, and Boguski scored the final goal for Wisła.
