The third draw in a row
Data publikacji: 04-10-2010 13:20Wisła Kraków share points in their third league match in a row. Śląsk Wrocław, the last but one in the Ekstraklasa table, take away a precious draw.

The White Star, this time without Cleber, Osman Chavez and Andres Rios, but with Serge Branco as a right full back and Mateusz Kowalski and Gordan Bunoza in the centre of defence, could not find a way to Marian Kelemen’s goal. The best scoring opportunity belonged to Nourdin Boukhari in the 10th minute, but Krzysztof Wołczek made a successful save, punching the ball away with his head. Śląsk kept waiting on their half for almost 90 minutes for what the home team would do, but even they revived slightly in the second part of the first half. In the 35th minute Piotr Ćwielong was blocked by Mateusz Kowalski at the very last moment, when he shot from a corner of the Wisła’s penalty area.
In the second half the pattern of the match did not change at all. Robert Maaskant’s charges tried to fight their way through the wall which the players of Śląsk set up on their half, but the away team defended their goal successfully. In the 61st minute it only got a bit hot in the Śląsk penalty area when Wisła’s players increased the pace of the game, but Kelemen was not defeated by either Andraż Kirm or Patryk Małecki. The poor performance of both teams consequently ended with a goal-less draw.
