Wisła Kraków had still not won in Extra Class games in Kielce. Of the three matches between Wisła and Korona two had ended in a draw and the Kielce players won once. This time for the first time victory was achieved, but not without tense moments.

After an even start Wisła gained the advantage after 21 minutes, when running for the ball Nikola Mijailović struck Łobodziński in the face with his elbow. The referee had no doubts and showed the Serb the red card. The hosts thus played at a disadvantage, which was eagerly exploited by the Wisła players. At the 31st minute Paweł Brożek passed perpendicularly to Kirm, who was in a clear position and undercutting the ball, placed it in the net. It was the Slovene's first goal in the Wisła colours. Scarcely five minutes later Małecki from the corner of the penalty area passed for the second post to Marcelo, who from a few metres packed the ball into the net. Tomas Jirsak increased it to 3:0 at the 56th minute, exploiting a Paweł pass.

 Securely in the lead and playing with the advantage – from the 78th minute not one but two Wisła players lowered the tone and were penalised twice for it. At the 70th minute Konon finished the neat action of Buśkiewicz, and at the 89th minute Gawęcki effectively dealt with the rebound of the shot from Edi. So the last minutes were very tense for Wisła and entirely unnecessarily.
