Stanislaus Henricus Christina Valckx, born 20 October 1963, began his adventure with football as a player. He was a central defender and member of the Dutch representation. Together with the team of the Orange, he was qualified for the quarterfinals of the World Cup in 1994. While with the club, he was member of the three squads, i.e. VVV Venlo, Sporting Lisbon and PSV Eindhoven.

Valckx continued his relationship with the latter also after conclusion of his sports career in the capacity of sports director. In this period, he brought the footballers into the club who later became globally known renowned due to their appearances with PSV. Valckx's achievements include among other things the transfer of Alex(currently Chelsea), Heurelho Gomes (currently Tottenham), or Jefferson Farfan (now Schalke 04) to the Dutch club.

In the recent period, Stan Valckx worked as sports director in the Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua.
