Paweł Brożek - The Best Player in Małopolska

For the fifteenth time already, a great award gala concluding the vote for the best coach and player in Małopolska was organised. For the second time running, the winner of the vote was the forward from Biała Gwiazda, Paweł Brożek. The readers of Gazeta Krakowska, listeners of Radio Kraków and viewers of TVP Kraków selected the best player and coach of Małopolska.

For the second time in a row, the best player of Małopolska was selected Paweł Brożek, who received over 13 thousand votes. "I would like to thank my colleagues from the team, coach Skorza, and most importantly coach Bahr. I hope that this award is for me as well as for the entire team," said Paweł Brożek after he received his award. On the second place was Patryk Małecki, who last year was regarded as the Discovery of the year in the same vote while Marcelo was the third. Radosław Sobolewski was the fourth, Piotr Brożek fifth and Arkadiusz Głowacki the seventh.

Maciej Skorża won the second place in the vote for the best coach. The coach from Biała Gwiazda in typical humorous way said that he was grateful to the players who should be credited for this honorary nomination. The best coach of Małopolska is the Cracovia coach, Orest Lenczyk.

Andrzej Turczyński was also honoured as the coach of the Wisła youth teams and was awarded a special prize of "Jasna Strona Futbolu” [The Bright Side of Football], which is awarded to the persons or organizations promoting the development of football.
