The sparring match with Molde was played mainly in the central part of the pitch. The game was a typical "combat" meeting as both teams were only rarely able to come near the goal of the opponents. In the initial 30 minutes, the White Star team presented themselves in a much better light by creating the best opportunity for a goal in the 16. minute. An action to take over the ball was started by Sobolewski's cross to Genkov, who subsequently passed the ball to Małecki; however, the latter, pushed by an opponent, did not make a precise kick thus making Patterson's intervention a lot easier.

Half an hour later, Molde took over the initiative with the main threats coming from the distance shots performed by Eikrem. Norwegians got it their way shortly before the end of the first part of the match. Diouf received a good pass from the left side of the penalty field and with a hit into the short corner, he defeated the helpless goalkeeper of Wisła.

In the second half, Eikrem scored a goal. His shot from outside the penalty field in the 59. minute reached the goal, which in the second half was defended by Kurto. A moment later, the young goalkeeper protected White Star team from losing the third goal by winning a one-on-one situation with Chukwu. In this part of the match, the most dangerous situation under Patterson's goal created by Wisła thanks to Łobodzinski, whose dangerous shot was caught by Molde.
