Mikhail Sivakov in Krakow

Mikhail Sivakov has become a member of Biała Gwiazda team. The Belarusian footballer is now on loan for six months from Serie A – Cagliari Calcio.

Mikhail Sivakov was born on the 16th of January, 1988, in Minsk. The central midfielder started his career in the Belarusian capital local club's squad – Smena Minsk, where he played from 1997 until 2002. In 2003, he was transferred to BATE Borisov. He had a debut in the first team of this club in 2005, at the age of 17. Until the transfer to Serie A, Cagliari, Sivakov played in 36 matches, scoring four goals. He also played in the European Cups. During the season, BATE advanced to the group phase of the Master's League where Sivakov played in five qualifying matches and all six group meetings.

In the beginning of 2009, the midfielder moved to Italian Cagliari, but did not manage to qualify to the basic squad of the team of Serie A. One year later, he signed a loan deal with the second league Piacenza, where he played in 15 matches scoring 2 goals. In July 2010, he returned to Cagliari and appeared in two league matches and one match in the Italy Cup.

Mikhail Sivakov was also a youth representative of Belarus. As a member of the U-21 squad, he had his debut on 14 October 2009 in the match between Belarus and Turkey. The Cagliari’s midfielder participated also in the senior squad of national team. In June 2010, he played for 15 minutes in a friendly match between Belarus and Sweden.
