The player was also registered for the European games, and thus – he can play in the tomorrow’s match with Skonto Riga.Marko Jovanovic was born on 26 March 1988 in Belgrade. He plays in defender position and is 184 cm tall. His football career began at the Budućnost Arilje club. Then in 2001 he became one of the Partizan Belgrade players. Four years later, he was loaned to FK Teleoptik Belgrade and in 2007 returned to Partizan. Together with that last club, he won the Serbian league four times in a row and three times the Serbia.

Jovanović debuted on the European stage on October 23, 2008 in the UEFA Cup match between Partizan and Sampdoria  Genua, won 2-1 by the Italians. In the 2010/2011 season Jovanović played in 10 Champions League games.

The Serbian defender was appointed to his country youth national team  for under-21, he also played  in the Serbian Olympic team at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. Jovanović played in all three group stage matches against Australia, Ivory Coast and Argentina.
