The first appearance of Wisła Kraków in the first league match this season was a tough game - Wisła was seeking revenge for the previous defeat 0:1 this spring. This time Wisła succeeded and Patryk Małecki scored the only victorious goal against Arka Gdynia. In the 24th minute, after a cross from Andraż Kirm from the right, Norbert Witkowski passed the ball to Patryk Małecki, who finished the ball past goalkeeper.

This was the only goal for Wisła, although opportunities were plenty. Some excellent goal-scoring opportunities were wasted by Andraż Kirm in the first half as well as Rafał Boguski and Patryk Małecki after the break. Wisła was lacking strength in the offensive play, which could have ended in a total disaster. Arka had some excellent occasions to score an equalizer. In the 44th minute, if it was not for Mariusz Pawełek, Maciej Szmatiuk would have scored a perfect header. Soon after the break, Pawełek made a save in a one-to-one situation with Miroslav Bożokow. Again, in the 62nd minute, Wisła’s goalkeeper pulled off a wonderful save in a one-to-one with Filip Burkhardt.

In the final minutes of the match, Wisła footballer had to defence in depth, but despite the uneasy final minutes, they finished with three points, and Arka Gdynia suffered defeat.
