Kew Jaliens joins Wisła

Jaliens is an experienced player. This 32-year-old footballer has played almost 400 games in the Eredivisie and 50 games in European cups. In 2006, he played in the Dutch national team during the World Cup in Germany.
At the age of 17, he began his career in his home town team – Sparta Rotterdam. At the beginning of the 2000/2001 season, Jaliens was transferred to Willem II Tilburg, where he spent five seasons.
However, it was in AZ Alkmaar, where he moved from Willem II, that he had the most successful moments in his career. In the first season, his team made it to the UEFA Cup semi-final. Moreover, he climbed the podium of Eredivisie with Alkmaar three times. In the 2005/2006 season, his team finished in second place. The following year, they won the third place, and in the 2008/2009 season Alkmaar became Eredivisie champions. In 2009, the team also won the KNVB Cup.
In 2006, Jaliens was called up to play for the Dutch national team. As a member of the nationals, he played in 10 games, including one against Argentina during the World Cup in Germany. He also played in three matches during the Beijing Olympics.
