To defend the Champion title Wisła not only needed to win against Odra, but also to rely upon failure by Lech in Poznań. In their match the Kraków players tried to score as quickly as possible from the first whistle of the referee. As a consequence attacks, which initially were wasted, in the end paid off. At the 36th minute after a raid on the right side Singlar sent the ball across the goal. Małecki concluded the business at the further post by putting the ball into the net from only a few metres.

The White Star continued to create opportunities for itself to improve the result. However trainer Kasperczak’s players continually wasted the chances that they made for themselves. In the 50th minute Łobodziński struck the crossbar with a shot. In the 57th minute Boguski missed by centimetres the ball that Małecki passed to him from the right side. A minute later and Onyszko intervened well and stopped a shot at 12 metres from Małecki.

Already in extra time the Wodzisław players retaliated and won the equalising goal. Juszczyk defeated Bueno and the game ended with the goal. The goal gave nothing to Odra. The draw in Krakow finally decided Odra’s departure from the Extra Class.

In the Lech versus Zagłębie Lubin match the home side won 2:0 and this year the Poznanian team won the championship title.
