Jagiellonia's holiday victory
Data publikacji: 11-04-2012 13:07The White Star has not won a league game since the 3rd of March. After the match against Jagiellonia, the losing streak will be even longer, as Wisła failed to earn any points in Białystok.

The revamped White Star, with newcomer Alan Uryga as sweeper, got off to a good start. During the first ten minutes, the visitors had four goalscoring opportunities, but none of them successful. Tomasz Hajto's players were completely feeble for the first several minutes, but finally awoke in the 19th minute. And they did it in the best possible manner – by scoring a goal. After Makuszewski's shot from 25 metres, which was the first shot on Wisła's goal, Jagiellonia raised the score to 1-0. Four minutes later, the atmosphere on the pitch became even more tense. In a commotion near the White Star's goal, Cezary Wilk played hand ball. The referee awarded a penalty kick, but Pareiko stopped Norambuena's shot with his legs!
In the 42nd minute, a controversial situation took place. Andraž Kirm was tackled in Jagiellonia's penalty box, but the referee decided not to award a penalty shot to Wisła.
The second half of the game was far less exciting. Wisła created only two more opportunities, but Kirm and Iliev were unable to defeat Sandomierski. This effort was not enough to snatch even a single point from Białystok.
