Hristov Becomes Wisła Player

Georgi Hristov, a Bulgarian forward has signed a contract with Wisła Kraków. The 25-year-old forward was borrowed from Levski Sofia for one year with the pre-emptive option. The player passed the medical examination successfully and signed the contract with Wisła last Friday.

Hristov was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria on 10 January 1985. 183 cm tall player weighs 83 kg. He began the football career in his hometown 2nd league FC Maritsa Plovdiv. Over the five years with the club, he played 110 matches and scored 51 goals. After the 2006/2007 season, Hristov won the title of king of shooters of the 2nd league with 18 goals on his account.

In the season 2007/2008, the forward joined Botev Plovdiv Club where he played 30 matches scoring 19 goals, which gave him the title of most effective player of the Bulgarian super league.

In summer 2008, Georgi Hristov signed a contract with the 26 times master of Bulgaria, i.e. Levski Sofia. While playing in this club in the season 2008/2009, Hristov won the national championship and Super Cup. As Levski Sofia player, he participated in 66 matches and shot 17 goals.
