Debuting at Wisła's stadium, the team from Poznań, led by coach Mariusz Rumak, managed to grab one point. The guests, especially Mateusz Możdżeń, were in control of both the beginning and the end of the first half. Already in the first minute, the young Kolejorz player had a perfect chance to score a goal, but against all odds Pareiko managed a save. In the 45th minute, Możdżeń slipped past the defence and managed to volley from several metres, but his shot was stopped by the White Star's goalkeeper.

Despite not having such perfect opportunities, Wisła did manage to threaten Kotorowski's goal on several occasions. In the 4th minute, Ivica Iliev was very close to slotting the ball in just below the crossbar. Twenty minutes later, Biton had a chance for a follow up after a long-distance shot by Nunez, but was too late.

From the 63rd minute onwards the visitors were down to ten players, as Możdżeń, the one who threatened Wisła's goal the most, saw a second yellow card. From that moment on, the champions of Poland were playing more confidently. Despite Wisła's several ideal opportunities to raise the score, Lech managed to keep their clean sheet and the first confrontation between Poznań and Kraków ended with a goalless draw.
