Draw with champions of Cyprus
Data publikacji: 06-07-2012 10:49The game between Wisła Kraków and Cypriot club AEL Limassol, Wisła's first sparring match of the training camp in Wielkopolska, ended with no goals.

The champions of Cyprus are in the final phase of preparations for the new season, whereas Wisła players are just starting theirs. Wisła's first sparring match tested not only the opponent's form before the Champions League qualifying round, but also the White Star's new tactics.
During the first 45 minutes, the team from Cyprus had better possession of the ball. However, both sides managed to create only one goalscoring opportunity each. In the 21st minute, Garguła crossed inside AEL's penalty box from a corner kick. The ball landed near Burliga, but the White Star's defender missed from several metres. In the 35th minute, Wisła's goal was in danger, but Ebo Andoh failed to intercept a cross from the right.
The pacing of the second half was similar, but still no goals were scored. Limassol players had several opportunities, but Miśkiewicz, who substituted for Pareiko, played confidently and effectively. Just after switching sides Chris Dickson was close to scoring, but his shot hit the side net. Melikson and Garguła managed to threaten the rival's goal, but AEL's goalkeeper showed great reflex, stopping both shots.
