The “Holy War Derby” this time ended with a draw, which may cost Wisła the Polish championship. Until the 93rd minute the Wisła players were in the lead against Cracovia, however in the last seconds Mariusz Jop scored an own goal. In connection with the dozen or so seconds earlier victorious Lech goal at Chorzow, the Poznan club is leading the table.

The first half of the match was not especially interesting. Worth noting was the situation at the 41st minute, when Arkadiusz Głowacki headed the ball into the Cracovia goal. The referee, however whistled a foul on the Cracovia goalkeeper, Łukasz Merda and did not allow the goal. Replays showed that the “Stripes” goalkeeper had not been fouled.

The second part of the match was noticeably livelier. In the 77th minute Issa Ba hit the Cracovia crossbar with a shot from only a few metres, but just 3 minutes later the Wisła players were in the lead. Rafał Boguski lobbed the ball past Łukasz Merda from the left side. A home side defender still tried to kick the ball out of the net, but it had already crossed the line. However it was not to be the only goal of the match. The game was already in extra time and then Mariusz Jop scored an own goal. After that goal the final whistle blew.

Playing simultaneously Lech Poznań won against Ruch Chorzów 2:1 and took the lead of the Extra Class table.
