Bunoza saves Wisła in Poznań
Data publikacji: 15-03-2012 12:48The White Star defeated Lech Poznań 1:0 in the first match of the Polish Cup quarter-finals. The goal for the Champions of Poland was scored by defender Gordan Bunoza.

Coach Michał Probierz had a hard time choosing his team's line-up before the Polish Cup game against Lech Poznań. Due to injuries and illnesses, Maor Melikson, Tsvetan Genkov, Marko Jovanović and Michael Lamey could not appear in the game. Therefore, the coach decided to give the youth league players a chance: Rojewski, Szewczyk and Stanek all sat on the substitute bench.
After 45 minutes of the game, Lech came close to taking the lead. In the 37th minute, after a play by Krivets, Stilić found himself one-on-one with Pareiko but somehow managed to hit the crossbar. Three minutes before halftime, a stray ball landed at Dudu Biton's feet, but the player missed his chance by shooting straight at the goalkeeper.
After halftime, Aleksandar Tonev made an impressive effort on his own, striking the crossbar from 20 metres. Finally, the missed opportunities came back to bite Lech Poznań. In the 71st minute, Łukasz Garguła crossed the ball in from a corner kick and Krzysztof Kotorowski failed to catch it. In the commotion, Bunoza lunged at the ball and managed to slot it in.
In the rematch in Kraków, Wisła will have a one-goal advantage.
