Data publikacji: 20-02-2012 10:12With only 10 players on the field for more than 60 minutes, Wisła Kraków managed to equalize 1:1 against Standard Liège in the first match of Europa League's Round of 32. Tsvetan Genkov scored the equalizer in the 88th minute.

The match between the champions of Poland and the vice-champions of Belgium began promising for the home team, which was close to taking the lead already in the 4th minute. Garguła had an excellent opportunity to score a goal, but his shot from a tight angle went wide of the post. Fourteen minutes later, Wisła's midfielder shot from a free kick, but hit the wall and then the crossbar.
The key event of the match came in the 27th minute. After Wisła's mistake, one of Standard's players found his way into the penalty box and was tackled by Michał Czekaj. The referee awarded a penalty shot and Czekaj saw a red card. The penalty shot was executed by Cyriac.
Kazimierz Moskal's players found themselves in a tough spot: not only were they losing 0:1, but they were also down one player. However, the unfavourable conditions only served to motivate Wisła, who never gave up on attempts at an equaliser. Finally, two minutes before the final whistle, Genkov scored from point blank after Melikson's corner kick from the left side. In added time, Kraków had a chance to take the lead, but after a nice combination play Iliev decided to dribble instead of shooting and never got another chance at scoring.
