It was the third consecutive match in which Paweł Brożek scored a goal. Having scored in the matches with Jagiellonia and Korona, this time ‘Brozio’ hit the target in a match with Dolcan Ząbki, securing a place for Wisła in 1/8 round of the Polish Cup.

Right after the first whistle was blown by the referee, Wisła gained advantage over their opponents. They occupied their rivals’ half  for long periods of time, not allowing Dolcan to come close to their goal. The home team from Ząbki did not take a shot at the goal at all during the first half. Whereas the White Star attacked resolutely from the very first minute, and it did not take long to wait for results. Just after 10 minutes Paweł Brożek took advantage of a pass from Kirm, barred himself skillfully from rivals in the penalty area and struck towards the far post, without giving Misztal any chances.

Having scored the goal, Wisła continued to reign supreme on the pitch, but they did not generate too many chances. Kirm and Małecki created a lot of commotion on the wings, but they had difficulty in passing the ball precisely. For example, ‘Mały’ dribbled past three opponent players in the 18th minute, but instead of passing, he shot from a sharp angle.

Wisła begun the second half as if they had forgotten that in the same period of time they had lost a goal in the match with Korona. A dozen or so seconds after the referee blew his whistle to start the second half, Stańczyk was heading alone towards Pawełek. Fortunately, the goalkeeper of Wisła was faster and he tackled the ball out of the Dolcan’s striker. The second half did not bring too many emotions and Wisła advanced to 1/8 final of the Polish Cup.
