Wisła Kraków finished the training camp in Turkey with a win. The White Star players defeated the Latvian team Daugava Daugavpils 4-1 before the spring round, which starts next week. Kew Jaliens, recruited during the winter transfer window, scored one of the goals.

The White Star gained evident advantage over their opponents from the very beginning of the match. There were moments, when the rivals of the White Star had difficulties in leaving their own half of the pitch. The White Star players pressured them even deep in their own half, taking away the ball close to their opponents' penalty area.

Wisła proved their advantage in the first half of the match with three goals. The first one was scored by Patryk Małecki, who shot from a long distance, and the other two by Łukasz Garguła. In both situations 'Guła' concluded his colleagues' actions with short range shots: the first chance was generated by Melikson passing from the right side, and Genkov generated the second one, passing from the other side. Kew Jaliens added one more goal in the second half, when he placed a short range shot into the net after receiving a corner pass. It was the first goal scored by the Dutch defender in Wisła's colours.

It was a pity, that for the second consecutive time Wisła was literally a few seconds short of winning a match without losing a goal. Like in the case of the match with BATE, the White Star players lost a goal again right before the referee's final whistle. Nevertheless, it does not change the fact that the last test before the first league match this year came out impressive.
