A match of debuts for Wisła
Data publikacji: 05-03-2012 09:25The debut match of coach Michał Probierz was also the White Star's first game at PGE Arena - one of the Euro 2012 stadiums. The team from Kraków played against Lechia, winning 2:0.

Even though before the match in Gdańsk coach Probierz denied planning any revolutions, his two-attacker formation definitely contradicted those words. This was the first time in over one and a half years when Wisła used this formation from the start of a match.
Wisła took the lead in just 7 minutes. From a corner kick, Nunez sent the ball towards the near post, where Diaz forwarded it to Jaliens, who then slotted it in. After scoring the goal, Wisła pulled back to defence, but remained in control of the game. The home team's play was ineffective. Wisła, on the other hand, managed to increase the lead when a penalty kick was awarded after Deleu tackled Iliev inside the penalty box. Biton executed the shot, giving his team a two-goal lead.
In the second half of the game, Lechia seemed to have lost any hope of success. Suffice to say, that the team had only one shot on target in that part of the match - an attempt by Grzelczak in the 70th minute. Despite Wisła's opportunities to increase the lead even more, the game finally ended on a 2:0 score.
