The first half did not bring too many emotions. During the first 45 minutes, both teams took only four shots on target, of which three belonged to Wisła. However, they were not the shots, which may have taken Łukasz Sapela by surprise.

Although it was Wisła, which had clear advantage in the second half and created two great scoring opportunities, one counter-attack was sufficient for GKS to take the lead. On the left side Małkowski ditched Chavez, who could not catch up with him. Even though the home team midfielder shot from a sharp angle, being one on one with Mariusz Pawełek, he was able to take advantage of it and score a goal to 1-0.

Wisła should have tied after ten minutes, but great scoring opportunities were wasted by Małecki and Żurawski. Wisła got their own way in the 82nd minute. Boukhari gave a great pass to Paweł Brożek behind the defenders’ backs, and the White Star’s

striker, who was one on one with Sapela, was fouled by Baran in the penalty area. The GKS’s player was booked with a red card, and Rafał Boguski scored a goal from the penalty kick. The White Star rushed to attack, but strikes by Małecki, Boguski and Branco missed the target.
