Lech prevailed slightly in the first part, however, failed to finish any goal-scoring opportunities. Peszko hit the goalpost and Stilić sent the ball over the goal twice, both from long-distance shots. Wisła attempted to counterattack, and had two opportunities to score two goals. In the 9th minute Piotr Ćwielong received a pass from the right wing, volleyed the ball and missed. Only 60 seconds later ‘Pepe' was heading towards the goal line defended by Krzysztof Kotorowski, but the ball was cleared at the last moment.
We finally saw some goals in the second half. In the 51st minute, Singlar intercepted the ball next to the penalty area and left Kotorowski helpless by hitting the ball from a 12-m distance. Lech decided to fight back. Although the Lech players had some really close goal-scoring opportunities, they succeeded only in the 82nd minute. The ball headed right into the goal after Semir Stilić got it from a free kick close to the penalty area. The ball went under the wall and reached the goal line.
Junior Diaz earned himself a second yellow in the 87th minute and was ruled out. Although the White Star played with ten players, Lech failed to score the decisive goal and both teams earned one point.
