The White Star players were dominant from the very first whistle and attacked the opponents’ goal. The host team was forced to counter attack, but the White Star players were pressing so hard that Arka tried the “long-ball” game in vein efforts to score. In the first half, the current Polish Champions created a few excellent goal-scoring opportunities, but scored only one goal. In the 28th minute, Patryk Małecki passed a corner to Marcelo, who scored the goal with a header from 12 meters. In extra time, in a one-to-one situation with Witkowski, Piotr Ćwielong wasted the best opportunity to score another goal for Wisła.

The second half was quite different. The game became uneven and players were failing to pass the ball to the teammates. Arka prevailed in bass possession, however, failed to put the ball in the back of the net. The host team was close to scoring an equalizer after a few passes by Sokołowski and a number of shots by Telichowski, however, Pawełek was quick of his line and pulled off great saves.

Paweł Brożek returned to the Wisła side in the second half after a knee injury. The best attacker of the White Star said he hopes to make it to the pitch in the match against Górnik Zabrze.
