“Żuraw” Returns - Five Goals for Wisła!

Wisła Kraków crushed the Lithuanian FC Šiauliai in the second match of the second round of the qualifications for the European League. The Biała Gwiazda footballers defeated, Sergey Kosov, the goalkeeper of their rivals, five times.

The task of Wisła was much easier after Kančelskis's red card, which he received already in the 17. minute. Six minutes later, the charges of coach Henryk Kasperczak took the lead after their first goal. Rafał Boguski sent the ball down the penalty field line while Piotr Brożek taking a shot from ca. 20 metres' distance gave Kosov no chance by playing strong ground shot.

In the latter half of the game, Wisła reigned supreme on the pitch scoring three goals. Shortly after the change, Maciej Żurawski's name was added to the list of shooters; he passed the goalkeeper and placed the ball in an empty goal. After a quarter, Henryk Kasperczak's charges were winning 3:0. After a corner kick of Łukasz Garguła, Erik Cikos decided to shoot and the ball was corrected by Junior Diaz.

By the 66. minute, Maciej Żurawski repaid the assistance favour to Paweł Brożek and both forwards entered the penalty kick area of FC Šiauliai. "Żuraw” crossed to the unguarded Paweł who was quickly took advantage of the situation and scored the fourth goal for Biała Gwiazda. In the 90. minute, Rafał Boguski scored another goal after he received the ball from Maciej Żurawski. In the two games, the Krakow players defeated the Lithuanian team 7:0, and in the upcoming round, the Wisła team will face the Azerbaijani team of FK Karabach.
