Already in the 4th minute Wisła scored a goal. The ball was circling as if on a rope around the penalty field line until Żurawski crossed to Paweł Brożek, who placed the ball in the net with a head shot. But it was only the beginning of the excitement. After a while, Cleber missed the ball in the penalty field of Wisła which fell at Lato's feet, who played it precisely to Grosicki. "Grosik" completed the formalities with one shot with the head.

After a frantic beginning, the game quieted down. Wisła was struggling to keep the ball as long as possible and play well in the offensive line while Jagiellonia launched a counterattack. What a show it was! Wisła managed to defend itself, yet a mistake in the 43. minute had its consequences. Cleber fouled Frankowski in the penalty field while the victim turned the penalty shot into another goal for Jagiellonia.

There were no more goals in the latter half of the match. Wisła struggled to make up for the lost points. Although it had only ten footballers in the pitch since the 73. minute after the red card for Mariusz Pawełek, it nearly managed to equalise. In the fifth minute of the stoppage time, Paweł Brożek hit the pole.
