Wisła was the attacking team from the beginning. As soon as after two minutes of the match, they could take the lead but Genkov’s shot after a long corner kick was saved by Kaczmarek. 15 minutes later, Cracovia’s goalkeeper was forced to surrender after Małecki’s corner kick when Melikson was the one to jump high enough to reach the ball and place it in the net with a precise header. In the 29th minute, Maaskant’s team had another opportunity to score after a header from Sobolewski, but Kaczmarek managed to touch the ball with the tips of his fingers and it went over the crossbar. Several seconds later, Trivunović cleared the ball from in front of his goal after a smart ground shot from Kirm. In the 33rd minute of the first half, Małecki, who had assisted at Melikson’s goal, had a chance to score himself but was unable to beat Kaczmarek with his header.

The second half was quite different. Yuriy Shatalov’s team began to play more offensively, this leading to more scoring opportunities. They could not, however, beat Wisła. Maaskant’s players managed to endure the war of nerves and deservedly won with Cracovia 1-0. Wisła rules in Kraków and all over Poland!
