Wisła Kraków complete Riccardo Grym signing!
Published: 28-06-2018 14:06The White Star completed the signing of the 19-year-old midfielder Riccardo Grym. The Poland youth international, that has also German citizenship, signed a two-year contract with option to extend for one more year.
Riccardo Grym was born on 13 June of 1999 in Leverkusen and, not surprisigly, his football career began in the team of Bayer. In 2014, the new Wisła’s player was called for the first time for the national youth team and currently is of interest to the Under-20 coach in the context of the next year World Cup, hosted by Poland.
His greatest success was with Bayer Leverkusen in 2016, when they won the German Youth Championship. The midfielder spent the last season in Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he made 21 appearances managing 4 goals and 3 assists.
On moving to Wisła, Grym said: “I am very happy to sign for Wisła because it’s a very good place for young players. I can’t wait to get started. I believe the team will be successful this season and I'm dreaming of finishing in the top three.”
About his national team aspirations: “It’s of great importance to me to be one of the players going to the World Cup. Playing for Wisła can only help me as I’ll get experience in senior football. Especially that the Under-20 coach Jacek Magiera lives in Poland, so it will be easier for him to observe me.”
