The team from Kraków set the score very early in the game – in the 16th minute, Maor Melikson made a superb cross from the right side of Lechia's penalty box, delivering the ball to the near post where Genkov was ready to slot it in. In the 43rd minute, after another strong cross from Melikson, former Wisła player Piotr Brożek nearly scored an own goal, but sent the ball just above the crossbar.

During the entire first half, Lechia was unable to threaten Wisła's goal. In the second half, Jarosław Bieniuk wasted one of his team's opportunities by hitting the side net from a header. In the 76th minute, Traore tried to surprise Sergei Pareiko, but the goalkeeper managed to stop his rival's shot. In the 90th minute, Kasprzycki passed to Traore who botched his shot, allowing Pareiko and Czekaj to stop the attempt.

In added time, Łukasz Burliga saw a second yellow card, causing Wisła to end the game with only ten players. However, Lechia players were unable to use this to their advantage which resulted in Wisła's second league win in this season.
