Wisła quickly scored both goals. Piotr Brożek scored first after a brilliant pass into the opponent’s penalty area from Andraza Kirma. Rijeka’s attempts to equalize failed and Wisła soon scored the second goal. Paweł Brożek headed the ball to Wojciech Łobodziński, who lobbed it over Radan.

The Croatians continued to press Wisła, and if it wasn’t for the lack of effectiveness, they would have probably succeeded in scoring a goal.  Sharbini excelled as an attacker, and only 3 minutes after Łobodziński’s goal, he wasted a one-to-one situation with Pawełek.

Adis Nurkovic was showing excellent skills at the beginning of the second half. The goalkeeper from Bosnia saved a free kick right in the middle of the goal, and a short-distance shot after some commotion in the penalty area, followed by a header after a free kick heading to one side of the goal, and finally – defeated the opponent in a one-to-one situation. In the second half, the only noteworthy offensive action of Wisła was Tomas Jirsak’s powerful shot against a crossbar. Although the White Star remained defensive in the last 45 minutes of the game, the Polish Champion easily controlled the situation on the pitch.
