This season, Wisła performs better in the early stages of matches – the game with Chorzów was no different. The team from Kraków was in control for the first 20 minutes, creating the best goalscoring opportunities of the game. However, Garguła, Chrapek and Quioto wasted their chances. Jacek Zieliński's team was able to fend off Wisła's attacks and in the 21st minute managed to bite back when Kwiatkowski was in a one-on-one, which he eventually wasted. In the 29th minute, Igor Lewczuk scored after a corner kick for Chorzów, but the goal was not awarded as the referee called offside. Replays confirmed that decision.

In the 58th minute, Tomasz Kulawik decided to send in Rafał Boguski. This was a very good decision. "Boguś" livened up Wisła's offence. In the 73rd minute, after a ball from Łukasz Burliga, he crossed in from the end line to the far post where Garguła topped it off. "Guła" scored his second goal in the 90th minute thanks to Sikorski's assist. Chorzów's honour was saved by Niedzielan who defeated Pareiko in added time.
