Location
Wisła’s new training base is located in Myślenice, a little over 30 kilometers south of Kraków, at ul. Zdrojowa, where it will be a part of the existing "Sport Myślenice" complex. The recreation center is located in Zarabie, the tourist part of the city. The entire infrastructure includes: modern sports hall, artificial football pitch, training rooms, tennis courts and a shooting range. The sport complex features sanitary facilities, restaurants, gym, fitness, SPA, biological renewal facilities, and changing rooms.

Zarabie is more than just the facility at Zdrojowa. It owes its name and unique character to the Raba river, which in this section still retains its characteristically clean mountain water and a rocky bed. An additional advantage of the just completed sport investment is its location in an area surrounded by a park with many walking and cycling paths, in the region known as the Mountain Gates. The beautiful landscape of Beskid Makowski and Wieliczka Foothills, as well as forests full of pine, fir, hornbeam and beech trees in conjunction with clean air provide ideal conditions for training, relaxation, and rest at any time of the year.

How the base came to be
On June 24, 2013 Wisła Kraków, represented by President Jacek Bednarz and the CEO of TELE-FONIKA Ryszard Pilch, concluded a cooperation agreement with the City and the Municipality of Myślenice. Thanks to a consensus with Maciej Ostrowski - Mayor of the City and Municipality of Myślenice, and Józef Moskal - President of "Sport Myślenice", decision was made to commence the construction of a training base for the White Star players to train at in the next twenty years. "June 24, 2013 is a very good day for Wisła Kraków, a special moment. We are introducing our club to the twenty-first century infrastructure, "- said President Jacek Bednarz shortly after signing the agreement.

Construction works in Zarabie started at the end of July of last year. At the beginning, it was necessary to even out the land designated for the playing field and to prepare the site. A month later, you could already see the first walls of the facility located along the Zdrojowa street being erected. In September, the building was almost completely insulated and covered by a roof. Successively, the works on the playing fields progressed as well, with the earth rolled even and ready for laying grass in the beginning of astronomical autumn. In October, work on the back building facade was completed along with installation of doors and windows, and the playing field was separated by a fence. The autumn-winter period was dedicated to works inside of the club building, focusing on the installation of suspended ceilings and air conditioning system, laying tiles and plastering the walls. Shortly after New Year, trucks with furniture and equipment necessary for daily operation of the facility began to arrive in Myślenice.

The official opening of the training base will take place on January 15th, during a ceremony at the Dalin Myślenice hall, which will be attended by representatives of the city and the club, as well as invited guests. "We already had a large modern stadium, but the lack of a training base was our weakness. Today I can say with full conviction that the sport infrastructure of Wisła Kraków is at the highest level! "- said delighted Jacek Bednarz.

Wisła Kraków training base in Myślenice – what are its features?
What does the new facility in Myślenice have to offer? Two full-size, lighted playing fields, including one with heated turf, as well as a third field, featuring Duraspine Ultra 60 artificial turf, the only one of its kind in Poland.

In order to maintain the highest quality of the turf, on a specially prepared site next to the field a reserve turf is grown, which can be quickly substituted for the damaged one if such need arises.

A modern building with sports facilities has also been officially opened. The thousand square meter surface houses a gym, two locker rooms, separate rooms for the first coach and assistants, SPA, briefing room, rehabilitation center, storage, laundry, and even a room specially designated for washing shoes.
