Fran Vélez came to Wisła before the 2017/2018 season from UD Almería and the White Star was the first club outside Spain he played for in his career. Vélez played 17 matches and he did well as a full-back but also as a defensive midfielder. With no doubts, his most memorable game is the encounter with Legia in Warsaw, where he scored his only goal for the club from Cracow.
