This Monday, in addition to the sparring match between Wisła and Chrobry Głogów, also saw a match played by our National Team. The meeting was held in the United Arab Emirates, and the opponent of coach Nawałka’s team was the representation of Moldova. Paweł Brożek and Michał Miśkiewicz were invited to take part in the gathering.

Both Wisła players were included in the starting lineup of the White-Red team, and the league's top scorer was also the captain. Playing with the White Eagle on his chest was nothing new for Paweł Brożek, it was however, the representative debut of the goalkeeper from Wawel. Brozio, as befits a true striker, quickly found himself in the opponent’s penalty area and, in the 9th minute, scored a goal for the Polish team.

The entire match was directed by the pace of Adam Nawałka’s team. Although the lineup consisted exclusively of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa players, they coped very well with the representation of Moldova. Opponents did not have too many oppotrunities to threaten the goal of Miśkiewicz.

In the second half, satisfied with the result Poles were reluctant to attempt any screwball actions, choosing instead to attempt another goal with steady, positional attacks. It is worth noting that between the posts of the Moldova representation stood Ilie Cebanu, also known for playing in the Kraków team.
Paweł Brożek’s goal turned out to be the only one in this meeting, and the striker was changed in the 69th minute of the game by Masłowski. In turn, Miśkiewicz guarded the Polish goal for the full 90 minutes.

Congratulations to both White Star players for their successful performance on the National Team.
