Stolarczyk: We want to make up for lost points

Published: 09-08-2018 16:52

On Friday, Maciej Stolarczyk’s men will play at the R22 stadium for the third time this season. This time their rival will be Wisła Płock.

That’s what the coach Stolarczyk said at the pre-match press conference:

On the squad…
All the players, except for Michał Buchalik that was suspended for a red card, are at my disposal. I would like to say that from Monday on, Paweł Brożek will restart trainings with the team. He will be examined what will let us determine the time he will need to come back into shape. I guess it’s a matter of weeks, not days. Then, we’ll apply adequate training. The first phase of the competition lasts till December and we have to be ready for potential injuries. At first, he wasn’t decided when we presented him our offer but the club means a lot to him. We are going to see what the future brings. The first step has been taken.

On the next match…
It’s obvious we want to make up for the points missed in Białystok. Tomorrow’s game will be very important. Looking at our rivals’ previous games, they didn’t deserve to lose points in any of them. I suppose they will also wish to make up for lost points, especially that in their team there are players that make the difference, like Semir Stilić. They showed what they are capable of last season. This match will be hard.

On the line-up…
I have players that are hungry to play, to give an example, we have Zoran Arsenić. Everyone wants to play and probably, they will get their chance but I cannot say if it will be tomorrow. If you want to find out, come to the stadium.

On the most memorable game against Wisła Płock as a player…
I remember the match with Wisła Płock in the Polish Cup final when we lost the first leg but, in the end, achieved the title. Back then, it was a team that got promoted to the first division one season and the next season, was relegated again. Now, the situation has changed and it can be seen that the team still try to continue the work they did last season.
