Published: 22-10-2011 13:36After a closely fought game, Wisła Kraków won 1-0 over Fulham FC in Group K of the European League. The White Star owes their three points to infallible Dudu Biton.

It was the first time that Wisła had won over an English team in UEFA club competitions. On Thursday evening, it broke the trend, defeating the team led by Martin Jol. The victory did not come easily. Despite occupying the bottom part of the Premier League standings, Fulham is composed of players that would have been stars in Poland. Still, Wisła players showed no signs of fear. From the very beginning, they played offensively, trying to threaten the goal guarded by Mark Schwarzer.
Undoubtedly, one of the key moments of the match, was a red card given to Moussa Dembele. In the 30th minute, he hit Gervasio Nunez, for which he was expelled from the pitch. It was easier for Robert Maaskant’s team to play against ten players, although the opponent put up strong resistance. Eventually, in the 60th minute, the ball reached Dudu Biton 30 meters in front of the goal. Biton moved the ball a few meters towards the goal and put it into the net next to the post.
Wisła made several attempts to increase their lead but they could not beat the Australian goalkeeper. Fulham hoped to score an equalizer until the last seconds. Both teams finished the match with ten men when Chavez received his second yellow card in the 87th minute.
