As early as in the first half, Polonia took advantage of individual errors by White Star defenders twice and scored two goals before half-time. The first goal was scored in the 22nd minute when Piątek passed the ball between defenders to Smolarek who forced Sergei Pareiko to surrender. 17 minutes later, the Black Shirts launched an attach down the same side of the pitch. Trałka received the ball in the penalty area, he passed Sivakov and put the ball into the net.

In the second half, Wisła started to put pressure on their opponents’ goal but could not score. In the 68th minute, Patryk Małecki played accurately to Tsvetan Genkov, whose poor shot was saved by Michał Gliwa. Earlier on, Polonia goalkeeper had had an excellent intervention when he saved an attempt by a White Star attacker several meters from the goal. Genkov had another great chance in the 78th minute but after his header, the ball passed next to the goal post.

The White Star had to accept their defeat at the end of the season. However, there is a consolation in that after a year break, Wisła reclaimed the champion title.
