Both Wisła and Podbeskidzie managed to create several good opportunities in the first half, but both goalkeepers kept their clean sheets. In the 11th minute, Michał Chrapek got a long pass from Arkadiusz Głowacki and went one-on-one with Richard Zajac, but the goalkeeper managed to stop that attempt. In the 25th minute, Ivica Iliev's shot struck the crossbar.

Robert Kasperczyk's team was close to taking the lead with a corner kick in the 13th minute, but Łukasz Garguła, who positioned himself near the upright, managed to stop the attempt. In the 19th minute, Fabian Pawela wasted his opportunity when his header missed Wisła's goal.
