Michael Lamey has signed with Wisła
Published: 15-06-2011 13:59The White Star have obtained another player. The club have been joined by Dutch defender Michael Lamey. The contract was signed for a year, extendable for another 12 months.

Lamey was born on the 29th of November 1979 in Amsterdam. He is a side defender. He began his professional career in Dutch club RKC Waalwijk. He spent there two years, playing in 47 matches and scoring three goals. In 2002, he moved to Alkmaar Zaanstreek (14 matches, 1 goal), and then after a year he joined FC Utrecht (17 matches). Between 2004 and 2007, he played in PSV Eindhoven (38 matches, 2 goals), and in 2007 he joined MSV Duisburg (25 matches, 1 goal). Between 2008 and 2010, he played for Arminia Bielefeld (49 matches, 1 goal). In 2010 he joined English League One club Leicester City. He played in four league games.
”I know that Wisła wants to play in the group stage of the Champions League. I think the chances are high. The opponents may be quite strong, but I believe they are not out of Wisła’s reach” – says Lamey. Lamey has experience in playing in the Champions League. As an Eindhoven player, he played several matches in the tournament. ”Now I hope to play in the Champions League with Wisła. I believe my goal is not different than that of other players” – he concluded.
