Wisła took on the rival under the guidance of the new manager, Tomasz Kulawik, whose first task was to reorganize his team for the upcoming T-Mobile Ekstraklasa game in just three days. However, Kulawik's line-up was no revolution, except for one important change – Łukasz Garguła returned to play from the first minute. "Guła" proved himself in the 13th minute, defeating Kuciak with a beautiful free kick.

The home team, however, quickly responded with an equaliser. In the 16th minute, Radović passed to the 11th metre where Kosecki was unmarked and managed to score with a powerful kick. Not even ten minutes later, Kosecki scored again - this time from Gol's pass. With this lead, Legia calmly maintained control of the game, even though the rival came close to equalising in the 45th minute. After Iliev and Melikson exchanged passes, the Israeli midfielder ran inside Legia's penalty box and passed to Genkov who unfortunately didn't reach the ball.

The second half was less exciting. Wisła struggled for an equaliser, sending even Sergei Pareiko inside the rival's penalty area, but the score remained unchanged.
