Zawisza Bydgoszcz players began with a series of attacks, trying to beat the guests’ goalkeeper with a head shot by Wójcicki in the 2nd minute. Moments later, players coached by Tarasiewicz charged, but Miśkiewicz prevailed once again.

Głowacki averted danger minute in the 6th minute, by knocking the ball out from under Masłowski. After a corner kick the ball landed on Lewczuk’s head, but the home team’s defender missed the goalpost. Only four minutes later Wisła was able to construct the first action, but Garguła failed to finish it because Brożek’s play left much to be desired.

In the 13th minute Kraków team’s penalty area came under attack again, when Carlos stormed past the Stolarski. However, attacker of the Bydgoszcz team did not take advantage of excellent play by Masłowski, striking directly into the hands of Miśkiewicz. One hundred and twenty seconds later, White Star stood a chance against the Bydgoszcz team, but Stjepanović missed a pass from the corner kick and hit the ball over Kaczmarek’s crossbar.

In 19th minute Carlos played lead once again, jumping for the ball higher than Stolarski and heading the ball towards Miśkiewicz after Wójcicki’s throw-in. Players coached by Ryszard Tarasiewicz did not allow Wisła players any rest, as only three minutes later, Geworgian could have secured lead for the home team, but after the ball’s launch from 8 meters by the Zawisza striker, it was caught by the White Star goalkeeper.

The next two shots by the Blue-Black team failed to threaten Miśkiewicz’s goal, because the defenders from Wawel were on guard. In response, Chrapek opted for a powerful shot from a distance, which ultimately did not find its way into Zawisza’s crossbars. In 32nd minute Chrapek again tried to beat the hosts, but his shot from 20 meters was defended by Kaczmarek’s forearm.

Zawisza’s missed opportunities came back to haunt them in the 38th minute, when the ball went past the home team’s crossbar by a beautiful outside of the foot pass by Łukasz Garguła, assisted by Paweł Brożek. Players coached by Franciszek Smuda tried to raise the score before halftime, but this time the hosts’ defenders were on guard.

After change of sides, Masłowski came close to scoring a goal for his team, but Miśkiewicz managed to defend his shot from 19 meters. Wójcicki received an excellent pass four minutes later, sending the ball into Wisła’s goal. In the 58th minute White Star defender, Gordan Bunoza, saw his second yellow and therefore a red card after a foul on Wójcicki right in front of his own penalty area.

1:1 score appeared on the screen moments later, when Goulon headed the ball into Wisła’s goal after a free kick, extending the play by Drygas. In response, Wisła players attempted to threaten the hosts, but were dealt with by Zawisza’s defense.

In the 66th minute the score should have been 2:1 for the team of coach Tarasiewicz, as Carlos once again defeated Stolarski, and hit the goal of the Kraków team, but the ball was luckily kicked out of the goal line by Jovanović. A moment later the action moved into penalty area of the home team, where Chrapek wasted a sure situation.

In the 68th minute it was 2:1 for Zawisza through Masłowski who unscrupulously took advantage of the White Star team’s mistakes. After yet another action by the Blue-Black team, the hearts of Wisła fans started to beat faster, but fortunately Lewczuk’s shot went over Miśkiewicz’s crossbar.

The home team’s attacks persisted and in the 75th minute Geworgian came close to happiness, but Miśkiewicz coped with the threat and prevented loss of the goal. Another counter-attack was interrupted by Zawisza Bydgoszcz player Małecki’s foul on Goulon. Małecki’s attack attempt did not produce the expected results, as midfielder from the capital of Lesser Poland failed to surprise Kaczmarek with his wide strike.

In the 87th minute Carlos asserted his great performance by scoring a goal and setting the match score at 3:1. Two-goal advantage did not satisfy the hosts, who once again launched an attack on Miśkiewicz’s goal. During stoppage time Zawisza’s midfielder, Michał Masłowski, received his second yellow card leaving the pitch just before the final whistle of referee.
