Junior Diaz returns to Wisła
Published: 09-07-2011 16:10Junior Diaz, well-known at 22 Reymont Street, returns to Wisła Kraków. The player, who left to the Belgian team Club Brugge a year ago, is on a year-loan to the White Star.

Junior Diaz was born on 12th September 1983. He is 185 centimetres tall and weighs 76 kilograms. He started his football career in the CS Herediano team, and joined Wisła in January 2008. Diaz played for Wisła Kraków in 95 matches, and 66 of them were the league ones. He came to the White Star as a left-back defender, but he also played as a defensive midfielder and a left winger. He scored 10 goals representing the White Star. On 28th August 2010 he played his last match in Wisła's colours so far, and Robert Maaskant had already been Wisła's coach then.
Junior Diaz played in only 13 matches for the Club Brugge team, owing to the injury, which he had sustained during the previous season. However, it did not prevent him from receiving a call up for the Costa Rica squad to play in the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Diaz reached quarterfinals with his national team, where Costa Rica had to acknowledge Honduras’s superiority.
Junior Diaz will play for Wisła with number 15, the same one as during his previous adventure with the White Star.
