Hands-down victory at the Dialog Arena!
Published: 12-08-2009 22:55The Polish Football Champions keep the pace. After the last week’s victory over Ruch Chorzów, the White Star now defeats Zagłębie Lubin 4:1, with the first goal scored with a record-breaking speed – in the 58th second of the first half.

The referee awarded a free kick after Wojciech Łobodziński was fouled 37 seconds after the first whistle. Piotr Brożek headed towards the ball, and this set piece was a surprise for everyone. Instead of a cross, Piotr Brożek sent a low shot next to Zagłębie players. Marcelo took possession of the ball and put it in the back of the net with a long shot. Before the break, Patryk Małecki scored the second goal for Wisła. Piotr Brożek passed the ball to his brother, Paweł, who withdrew it from the goal line to Małecki in front of the goal. Towards the end of the first half, the home team had a few goal-scoring opportunities, but failed to defeat Mariusz Pawełek.
The second half was a close match. Still, Wisła scored another 2 goals. In 69th minute, Alvarez passed the ball to Jasiński, who scored an own goal. Małecki scored the fourth goal after give-and-go passes with Paweł Brożek. Finally, in extra time, the home team scored the consolation goal. In his debut game in the Polish Extraklasa, David Caiado made a 40-m long shot right into the net.
